About the event
In Alice's day dinner was a highlight of the social calendar and entertaining guests in your home a work of art!
Celebrate all things Victorian with a beautiful and unique botanical dining experience showcasing farm produce from Roselyn with edible flowers and herbs from the garden. Join us as Alice's parlour is transformed into a Victorian dining room and be transported back to a bygone age as it may have been at Roselyn in the 1880s.
Enjoy learning how to partake of a Victorian dinner, the complex etiquette surrounding the meal itself, what was served and how.
"Conversation needed to always be light and positive, to refrain from any heated debates or arguments" Let's see how we go in 2022.
Seven elegant courses, inspired by a Victorian feast, matched with fine West Australian wines will be prepared and carefully curated by French chef Marine Nomblot. The menu will be based on the freshest of farm ingredients and will be released closer to the event.
Begin your experience with a glass of vintage champagne to set the mood for the evening. Selected readings from the diaries and papers of West Australian women from the era will provide some entertainment and perhaps the odd parlour game or too.
We hope, like a Victorian hostess would wish, that you enjoy your experience and it is well talked about long afterwards!
