About the event
The opening of Alice - conversations with flowers will be held on Saturday the 29th April from 12.30 pm at Gallery 152, 152 Avon Terrace, York WA 6302.
Dr Marion Kickett, a Barladong Noongar elder and York resident, will give the Welcome to Country at 1.00 pm.
The exhibition will then be officially opened by Professor Kingsley Dixon, botanist and Founding Director of Science at Kings Park with an opening address.
With the rose as its central motif, Alice - conversations with flowers will host guest speakers, immersive events and sensory experiences to stimulate conversations around ecology, biodiversity, and the role women have played in this narrative. The exhibition will run from 29 April - 11 June 2023.
